Charlotte Colburn Tinnon "Char Char", 76, of Apison, TN, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017. Charlotte was born September 26, 1941 in Birmingham Alabama, and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area.

She graduated from Chattanooga High School, and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Charlotte was a member of Grace Works Church, and was previously an active member of Concord Baptist Church where she served for many years as Acteens Leader thru WMU.

Charlotte Colburn Tinnon "Char Char", 76, of Apison, TN, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017. Charlotte was born September 26, 1941 in Birmingham Alabama, and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area.

She graduated from Chattanooga High School, and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Charlotte was a member of Grace Works Church, and was previously an active member of Concord Baptist Church where she served for many years as Acteens Leader thru WMU.

She had a strong love for music and enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and violin, and in her younger days, was a member of the Chattanooga Youth Symphony.

Charlotte worked for over 25 years at Suntrust Bank, formerly American National Bank where she retired as an Assistant Vice President. She represented the bank in various roles including Assistant Manager of Northside Branch and East Brainerd East Branch. She later worked as Branch Manager of the Signal Mountain location.

Charlotte was a member of the American Business Women's Association and served on various banking committees. She excelled in the banking industry when women were slow to be recognized for their work in professional environments.

She had a great love for family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents Wyatt and Eula Mae Colburn.

She is survived by her husband David Lee Tinnon; daughters Allison Grissom Shoemaker (Mark) of Chattanooga, TN Audra Grissom Green (Allen) of Collierville, TN; grandchildren Bailey and Addyson Petty of Chattanooga, TN and Parker and Ansley Green of Collierville, TN; sister Carol Joy Harris (David) of Apison, TN; nephew Dr. John David Harris (Cindy) of Ooltewah, TN; and other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 1:30 -2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 in the East Brainerd Chapel with Pastor Bill Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
